The test is a multiple choice and it is timed. You have two minutes per question to read and answer. While taking the test you can skip the question if the answer is not coming to you right away. You can then go back and review the questions you did not answer. I found that there was plenty of time to answer all the questions and then quickly review the ones where I wasn’t exactly sure I had answered it correctly. Best of luck.

The CRCP certification is for version 10. I would recommend that you invest in Crystal Reports 2008. I am not sure if Mrs. Harper has another book out specific to CR 2008 testing. The other Author you might want to check out is George Peck. He has written several reference books and is a good friend of mine that I met through ASUG.

Hi,
I wanted to ask if the questions in the exams are multiple-choice? Or do you have to write out the answers by yourself?

Thanks for sharing your experiences. I am newbie to Crystal Reports and I am interested in getting certified on the CR 2008 product. Do you recommend that I buy the same books that you reference in your blog posts below or should I waited until more updated materials become available for the 2008 product? In the meantime I have the CR for Dummies book that I working through.

Thank you Annette for the clarification. As you have pointed out it is geared towards CR 10 however I am sure it will help solidify my foundation from which I will work. I will be sure to keep everyone posted.

The CRCP Crystal Reports Certified Professional All-in-One is specific to CR 10, but is still relevant for the XI exams. There is one less exam and a few additonal minor topics for XI.
