About
My name is Brian Durning and I have been working with Crystal Reports since 1999. I started using Crystal Reports 6.5 at an Fortune 500 Oil Field Service company out of Houston, TX to report on Service Desk metrics. I soon started to edit the reports and eventually ended up administering and eventually building/configuring servers and installing Crystal Reports Enterprise systems for various global locations within the company. In between my corporate jobs I worked as a BusinessObjects consultant. I now work for PepsiCo that is traditional BusinessObjects shop but does have pockets of Crystal Reports, again around the Service Desk.
I obtained my BusinessObjects Certified Professional – BusinessObjects Enterprise Certification along with my Crystal Reports Certified Professional Certification in 2007. I am currently serving as the Chair for the GBN/ASUG Crystal Reports Special Interest Group (CR SIG). I am also Vice Chair on the Steering Committee for the Dallas Ft. Worth BusinessObjects User Group (DFWBOUG). As if that is not enough I also serve on the GBN/ASUG SAP Influence Council Steering Committee.
I have presented at the 2006 BusinessObjects Users Conference in San Francisco, CA and recently at the 2009 GBN/ASUG User Conference in Dallas, TX. Both times the topic was Crystal Reports. I have presented at local BusinessObjects User groups in Houston and Dallas, TX over the years.
This year I had two of my 3 abstracts accepted for the ASUG Annual conference being held in Orlando, FL October 5 – 7.
I also received notification this week that I am one of 5 National contestants to participate in Reportapalooza. Reportapalooza is to National event held from August 16 – November 22, 2010 to showcase SAP Crystal solutions which will include Crystal Reports and Crystal Dashboards (Xcelsius).
